This thesis discusses the prevention of COVID19 and the risk factors of COVID19. COVID19 is a result of a new coronavirus strain called SARS-CoV-2. The virus originated from Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and has since spread around the world. On 11 March, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a global pandemic. Notably, the transmission of COVID-19 is mainly through contact with respiratory droplets expelled by someone who is coughing or has other symptoms such as fever or tiredness. Thus, people should maintain one meter away from an infected person. Unfortunately, there are Risk factors of COVID -19, which increase the chances of developing the disease. The latter include people with underlying medical conditions like diabetes and older individuals. However, the virus can result in death. Fortunately, there are measures and approaches for the prevention of COVID19.

THE TRANSMISSION AND RISK FACTORS OF COVID-19
The risk factors of COVID19 include older populations and people with underlying health problems like high blood pressure, heart problems, cancer, lung disease, or diabetes. Fortunately, there are currently no links between people living with HIV and an increased risk of acquiring COVID-19. The transmission of COVID19 is mainly through contact with respiratory droplets of an infected person. These droplets come from the nose or mouth of an infected person and may land on surfaces and objects around them. Also, the virus may spread when an infected person sneezes, coughs, or exhales, and people around them breathe in these micro-droplets. Therefore, people must maintain one meter away from someone with the virus. However, anyone can catch COVID-19, and the result can be fatal. Therefore, everyone should take the necessary steps in the prevention of COVID19.

TREATMENT MEASURES AND PREVENTION OF COVID19
There are several measures for the prevention of COVID19. They include regularly and thoroughly cleaning one’s hands with an alcohol-based sanitizer or with soap and water. Secondly, maintaining at least a 1-meter distance from others. This approach is vital in preventing the transmission of COVID19. Thirdly, covering one’s cough with the bend of elbow or tissue, and discarding the latter immediately. Fourthly, avoiding going to crowded places and touching eyes, nose, and mouth. Fifthly, self- isolating even with minor symptoms such as cough and headache until recovery. Lastly, following good oral hygiene and wearing a mask. Unfortunately, risk factors of COVID19 are unavoidable and uncontrollable factors. In conclusion, COVID 19 is an infectious virus that currently has no cure and is fatal. Therefore prevention of COVID19 is primary in reducing the transmission to other people.
