This dissertation analyses the racial disparities and prevention of racism in the healthcare system. Racial discrimination has existed for a long time against minorities. Despite, the invention of advanced methods of treating chronic illnesses, minority groups aren’t able to access these services. Racial disparities in healthcare exist due to the inequality in offering medical services. Mortality is relatively higher in minorities as compared to non-minorities due to the gaps. A result of the racial disparities is the deterioration of mental health among minorities. Reports on anxiety, depression and even suicide among minorities are frequently resulting from racism. Extensive awareness is crucial for the reduction of the outcomes of racial disparity.

These measures are a step to achieving equality among all races in the world. One measure is creating a community of opportunity by sustaining equitable economic growth among minority societies. Secondly, initiating early childhood development programmes to boost their intellectual intelligence and motivation for learning. Third, reducing childhood poverty by securing scholarships programs to encourage children education. As a result, minimizing the socio-economic gap. Racial disparities in health care significantly affect maternal mothers and children. In 1935, the United States passed a social security act meant to help children and families in need. Instead, the law helped white families as black families couldn’t participate in the benefits. Therefore, this is evidence of the unequal distribution of resources. Secondly, discriminatory housing policies determined by income levels put maternal mothers and children health at risk. Third, minority mothers record the lowest record of breastfeeding and continuity. As a result, the growth of their children is greatly affected. Moreover, racial disparities in healthcare reduce the trust of mothers and children in receiving quality healthcare.
