REVOLUTIONARY PERIOD AUTHORS DURING THE REVOLUTIONARY PERIOD

This research paper looks at revolutionary period authors during the revolutionary period. Tensions brought about by the British government eventually led to the writing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. A year earlier, the War of Independence, also known as the American Revolution against Britain began. Before Britain surrendered, the British had very high taxes in their country. British thus decided to shift some of their financial burden to the colonists. In 1766, the tax stamp act was repealed, but the problems between the colonists and the British had begun. The British finally surrendered on October 19, 1781, and Americans were officially independent of Britain. Americans set about establishing their government, including the revolutionary period authors during the revolutionary period.

DEMOCRATIC ORIGINS AND THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AGAINST BRITAIN

The hard-fought American Revolution against Britain (1775-1783) was the first modern war of liberation against a colonial power. The triumph of American independence to many seemed as though America and her people were destined for greatness. Revolutionary period authors during the revolutionary period fanned nationalistic hopes for great new literature. Yet except for outstanding political writing, few works of note appeared during or soon after the Revolution. American books were harshly reviewed in England, and Americans were aware of their overdependence on English literary models. The search for native literature during the revolutionary period became a national obsession.

REVOLUTIONARY LITERATURE AND THE REVOLUTIONARY AUTHORS

The American Revolution against Britain brought along all forms of literature, including pamphlets. Pamphlets contain the passion of Revolutionary literature, which is the most popular form of the day’s political literature. Over 2,000 pamphlets got published during the revolutionary period. The pamphlets thrilled patriots and threatened loyalists. Moreover, the pamphlets filled the drama’s role and were often read aloud in public to excite audiences. American soldiers read them aloud in their camps, whereas British Loyalists threw them into public bonfires. Revolutionary period authors during the revolutionary period included Thomas Paine, who wrote, voicing the idea of American exceptionalism. Thomas Paine’s pamphlet Common Sense sold over 100,000 copies in the first three months of its publication.

After I ordered a dissertation from your writing service, the first paper that I was given did not met my professor’s demand. I set the paper on revision and the writer made the revision for free meeting all my requirements and I was very satisfied.
