In the United States, racism began in the era of slavery many years ago. The slaves were mostly of African origin. After the abolition of slavery, the slaves were allowed to live as free citizens in America. Early childhood education about race is crucial so that the children fathom the statutes of racial ethnicity. Racial and ethnic socialization entails verbal and non-verbal communication to the children about racism. Children are prone to experience racism at an early age example, at school. Therefore, psychologically preparing them is crucial.
