As a non-profit, the Y depends on donations and membership dues to fund the many programs they offer. However, the current health crisis has placed an additional load on Y. Our community expects Y to provide the services that our community desperately relies on them for. The Y continues to make learning a top priority for our youth. Additionally, the organization works well to accommodate the individual online learning needs of each child in their care. CURRENT AND ONGOING YMCA FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
The YMCA organization and YMCA fundraising efforts are all to make an impact in the current world. The Greensburg YMCA offers special fundraisers and partners with local businesses from time to time throughout the year. The current fundraising was on the 27th of February at 600 Greengate centre. Proceeds from the event will benefit the organization’s Annual Support Campaign. The program allows individuals who cannot afford the programs to participate regardless of their ability to pay. Amazon donates 5% of the price of eligible purchases back to the Greensburg YMCA when one shops. Among remarkable YMCA fundraising efforts is when it raised $103.51 for its 2019 Annual Campaign.
