REVIEW OF THE ISLAMIC STATE AND U.S. POLICY

This assignment provides a review of the Islamic State and U.S. foreign policies. ISIS-controlled large areas of Iraq and Syria from 2014 to 2017. The U.S. had to intervene and was successful in the fight against ISIS and liberated most of the territory in 2017 and 2018. ISIS leadership remains at large, and IS fighters appear to be evolving into an insurgent force. Additionally, the group’s international affiliates continue to operate, causing conflict in Syria and attempting attacks in Europe. In the U.S., there are numerous debates on a range of proposals for consolidating battlefield gains made to date and preventing the Islamic State from succeeding in its expansion objectives.

OVERVIEW AND U.S. RESPONSE TO THE CONFLICT IN SYRIA

The continued conflicts in Syria involves the U.S. policy towards Syria in seeking the enduring defeat of the Islamic State. The Trump Administration also wants a political settlement to the Syrian civil war and the withdrawal of Iranian-commanded forces. In the fight against ISIS, the U.S. still holds that the group retains an intact command structure, and maintains an insurgent presence in much of rural Syria. Even with increasing costs of military operations, the U.S. is not willing to change U.S. foreign policies towards Syria. However, they continue to advocate for a negotiated settlement between the government of Syria and Syrian opposition forces.

REVIEW OF THE ISLAMIC STATE AND UNDERSTANDING THE FIGHT AGAINST ISIS IN SYRIA

In the fight against ISIS, the U.S. totals more than 13,300 airstrikes against ISIS targets in Iraq since August 2014. Other U.S. allies that joined in the attacks include Belgium, Australia, France, Denmark, the UK, and the Netherlands. The conflicts in Syria is not likely to end soon. Coalition forces continue to conduct more strikes every month. Russia also joined in the strikes, even though it is not a coalition member. With the concrete U.S. foreign policies towards Syria, Russia seems bothered. Russia warned the US coalition that it would treat its aircraft as targets after the US shot down a Syrian military plane during the assault on Raqqa.

After I ordered a dissertation from your writing service, the first paper that I was given did not met my professor’s demand. I set the paper on revision and the writer made the revision for free meeting all my requirements and I was very satisfied.
