B839-TMA01; LITERATURE REVIEW OF THE HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF CSR & B839-ANALYSIS OF POPULAR ARTICLES
This research paper provides a distinctive perspective on the history and evolution of corporate social responsibility as a conceptual paradigm. We will do so by reviewing the factors that shaped its understanding and definition. They include academic contributions, international policies, and significant social and political events. This aided in shaping the framework of corporate social responsibility. However, a historical review is missing in the academic literature, which shows the evolution of the scholarly understanding of the concept of CSR. This limits the analysis of popular articles on corporate social responsibility in understanding the role of CSR in fostering societal well-being.
