ROLE IN HIV/AIDS AND THE INTERVENTIONS IT HAS PUT IN PLACE

UNAIDS joint program in press release in 2011 made interventions to reduce the spread of HIV. The interventions were targeted to the transgender people and for men and gay men. These interventions are the first to focus on these specific population groups. Emerging data have identified HIV epidemics among gay men in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The UNAIDS strategy has provided 21 recommendations for actions to be taken by multiple stakeholders. The activities are expecting to be in close cooperation with men who have sex with men and transgender people. The recommendations include ensuring the practice of consistent condom use over choosing partners based on HIV infection status. Interventions include offering HIV testing and counseling, followed by treatment for patients with CD4 count 350 or below. Lastly, UNAIDS joint program and UNAIDS role in HIV/AIDS measures are expecting to be efficient.

CHALLENGES THE UNAIDS JOINT PROGRAMS STRATEGY INTERVENTIONS FACES

The UNAIDS strategy intervention on condom use faces several challenges, according to a study in Nepal. Nepal’s survey showed 14% and 4% condom usage for married men and women, respectively, for HIV/AIDS & STI prevention. Studies also revealed that HIV positive men in Kathmandu who had sex did not always use a condom. On the other hand, the government’s supply of condoms is irregular and no accessibility of free condoms in remote areas. UNAIDS role in HIV/AIDS prevention for the targeted groups in remote regions is therefore unsuccessful. Studies demonstrate that condoms are highly effective in preventing HIV transmission but availability and regular use are a problem. Limited coverage of HIV testing and counseling is also a challenge the interventions face. There’s also limited access to testing facilities in Nepal. Therefore, UNAIDS joint program and UNAID’S role in HIV/AIDS challenges need addressing.

After I ordered a dissertation from your writing service, the first paper that I was given did not met my professor’s demand. I set the paper on revision and the writer made the revision for free meeting all my requirements and I was very satisfied.
