This essay discusses the influences of emotions and the behavior cycle. Emotions consist of subjective experiences, physiological responses and behavioral responses. A subjective experience triggers particular emotions, such as losing a loved one. Different experiences trigger different emotions that create the behavior cycle. Physiological responses are the result of the reaction of our nervous systems. Nervous systems control involuntary bodily responses. Facial expressions are essential in how we respond to emotions. With the theory of rationalism, we can address issues related to behavioral responses. These responses are the actual expressions of our emotions. Therefore, they are crucial in signaling to others about our feelings and improving our well-being.

UNDERSTANDING THE BEHAVIOR CYCLE
The influences of emotions, thoughts, and beliefs affect most of our actions. Sometimes, we act unconsciously, but the actions are still the effects of our feelings. The feelings and emotions have their causes as well. They come from our past experiences since childhood. These experiences affect how we interact with the environment under different circumstances. This creates the behavior cycle. Whenever things happen to us, we create beliefs based on these experiences. Whenever we encounter the same situations, we expect and act based on previous experiences and beliefs about the particular situation. We mostly borrow from the fundamentals of the theory of rationalism. Lastly, the theory argues that all knowledge comes from logic and intuition.

INFLUENCES OF EMOTIONS, CONCEPT AND THEORY OF RATIONALISM
According to Western philosophy, the theory of rationalism is the view that regards reason as the main source of knowledge. According to the theory, reality has a logical structure, and there are truths that intellectuals can grasp. Rationalists also argue that there are particular rational principles in logic, mathematics, and metaphysics. On the contrary, empiricism argues that knowledge comes from testing our experiences and the influences of emotions. Rationalists emphasize the existence of ‘natural light.’ Therefore, many rationalists are against systems that claim to hold esoteric knowledge, whether from mystical experience, revelation, or intuition. All these doctrines try to explain and predict the behavior cycle. Speculative rationalism holds that the world has a natural order, with parts connected by logical necessity and an intelligible structure.
